A new study blog is born!

Hey There!

A new study blog is born! It’s me, not Mario, but Selina. Welcome on my new blog! I hope you enjoy it. 

Now let me introduce myself somehow:
I’m a 21 years old girl and in August 2019 a new journey for me will start. I go to study in Groningen, in a new country in a foreign language. What should I say? I’m a little bit nervous but also excited about all the new impressions and chances I can perceive.
On this blog I’ll talk or write… About this new step in my life, new projects I maybe start and every other stuff which gets in my mind. If you like to be part of these feel free to read my blog, let me know what you think about all the chaotic times or article and feel free to ask what you want to know! Tips for buying your study books! Only a few weeks until my bachelor program starts. And like a good student I am – or I would like to be – I want to buy the needed books forehand. The university published a file with the books you need for the first semester. What do you think how expensive these books are? In my middle and high school was an option to borrow the books you needed from school for something around 50€ or 75€. I thought the books for university would cost around 150€ per semester in fact of you buy your own books and don’t borrow those. How naive I was! To be exact: For the first semester you need five books for 242€ overall. ONLY THE FIRST SEMESTER! Until the second semester you need four new books for a total of 249€. These books are only the necessary ones. There are also books which are recommended to buy. I was shocked how expensive these books are. I mean... Well, I understand that people put a lot of work in the books but 80€ for a single one? Af...

6 Things I'm looking forward to go through in Groningen!

In expectation of my journey I have thought about the things I’m looking forward to. This is a good way to push the bad thoughts away, about leaving my hometown. The following points gain my anticipation and let me smile every time I think about them. Maybe there are things you would like to test during your next visit in Groningen! 1. The University Sounds probably a little bit nerdy, but I really, really looking forward to my studies. In 2015 I have graduated from high school, started my on work training which ended in January 2018 and work since then. I liked my training and my work too but I think education is such a privilege and learning new stuff can enjoy you so much if it’s interesting for you. Furthermore the university looks so beautiful and remember me on a boarding school from a series I loved in my childhood. 2. Bike Tours Fun fact: In Groningen exist more bikes than citizen live.
